AGENT CARRIE REPORTING BEHIND-THE-SCENES
WITH A FASHION DESIGNER!!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go behind the scenes with a FASHION DESIGNER?

Well I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to do just that. I got to see all the cool stuff these people get to do. I actually think I want to be a designer now! Well on my experience I got to sit down with a swimsuit designer. She is really cool, her name is Sara. I really don't know how I got to get this cool backstage pass but let me tell you it was one of the best things I have ever seen.

Sara let me follow her around and I got to see all kinds of stuff. When I first got there we went to her office, which is inside a Showroom (a large room that has all the swimsuits that they have made and designed, its like a huge store). Just being around all those Bikini's made me want to go to the beach. Anyways, when we actually got to her desk, she had piles of clothes all over. She said that she goes out and buys clothes that she can get inspiration from. She doesn't even have to pay for the stuff, her company does. WOW!!! She can keep them to!!!!!!!!!

Next we had a Fit Model come in to try on all her newest designs. Sara has Fit Models come in every week so she can make sure all the bikinis actually look good in person. Don't worry they were all HOT!!! I felt like a VIP, I got to see the Bikini's that they are going to sell for 2004. Now I know what everyone will be wearing before they do. HAHA!!!! I even gave her my opinion on a few things and she actually took my advice. I told her this one suit had ugly beads on it and she took them off.

We also went on a tour of were all the sample bikinis are made (samples are just like a ruff draft before the final product and this is what the fit model tries on to make any adjustments). Sara has her there full time to do all her sewing. She is constantly having things made. She can make herself a Bikini if she wants to. All she has to do is sketch it out, give it to a pattern maker (they make a pattern with the persons measurements and the fabric gets cut from that) then she just gives it to the sewer. And there you have it a Bikini is made. Just kidding there is a lot of other stuff that happens but it really isn't that interesting, so I wont bore you with it, k?

The best thing about meeting Sara is I found out what actually happens behind the scenes. Oh ya, she also gave me a free sample Bikini.

Later for now,

Agent Carrie
